Quick answer and first checks
Record the launcher label, channel names and receiving account for each language. Do not assume that translating a Wix page also translates a third-party widget. State the languages the team can answer in and check whether automatic selection can be changed.
- Map languages, labels and destination accounts
- Test page and app translations separately
- Check longer labels on a narrow screen

Make a small language plan
For each published language, record the launcher label, account, suggested message and language the team can answer in. The same phone number can serve several languages when expectations are clear. Visitors should be able to correct an automatic language choice.
For example, a German “Verkaufsanfrage” link can lead to the sales channel. If the team replies only in Turkish and English, explain that beside the contact options. Do not assume the messaging service translates conversations for you.
Separate page translation from app translation
Wix Multilingual provides tools for translating page text, buttons and links. Third-party apps do not necessarily follow every page translation setting. Converly’s product information describes multilingual settings; verify available languages and visitor-language behaviour in the installed version.
- Choose the languages and channels your team can maintain.
- Translate standard Wix page buttons in the corresponding language version, including their destinations where needed.
- Check the app’s own language settings separately. Do not assume translating the page translates the widget.
- Switch between each published language and read both the launcher and the channel names.
- Open the destination and check the phone account, suggested message and target-page language together.
Test longer labels on mobile
German labels can require more room than English ones. Choose concise wording instead of reducing text until it is difficult to read. The launcher, close control and channel choices should remain separate on a narrow screen. After switching language, reopen the menu on the same page and check its state.
Common questions
Does every language need a separate number?
No. A shared account can work if its reply language is clear. Separate language teams may benefit from separate destinations.
Is browser language always the visitor’s preference?
No. Shared devices, travel and personal preferences can differ from browser settings. If automatic selection is used, check the visitor’s ability to change it manually.
