Quick answer: how do you disable right click on Wix?
In the Wix editor, use the app section to find and add Right Click Protect. Restricting right click and watermarking are different actions. Compare Filigrunner’s watermark and image-protection options, then check your chosen method on the published site.

Set up Wix’s Right Click Protect app
- Open your site in Wix Editor or Studio Editor and select Add Apps.
- Search for Right Click Protect and add it to the site.
- Open the app’s settings to edit the copyright message.
- Publish your changes. Visit the live address as a visitor and right-click your own image.
These are steps for Wix’s app, not instructions for the Filigrunner panel. See Wix’s official setup guide for current settings.
Check individual images and galleries separately
Wix Pro Gallery includes desktop right-click protection. Do not assume a standalone image or a store product gallery behaves in the same way. Choose a sample image in each part of your site and record what the published page permits.
Mobile, store galleries and screenshots: the limits
Wix documents that its Right Click Protect app does not support mobile right-click download protection and excludes the Wix Stores product gallery and embedded third-party content. These limits describe that app, not every image-protection product.
A context-menu restriction cannot close every source-file access route or guarantee that visitors cannot take screenshots.
Watermarks and right-click restrictions do different jobs
A watermark embedded in a file remains in a copy of that same file. A separate page overlay may not be part of the source image. Keep your originals separately and compare your own sample image on the live page, any permitted download and the sharing preview.
This is a suggested check. It does not establish that one product protects every output. For product-image workflows, see the Wix product watermark guide.
Where Filigrunner fits
Filigrunner is Vebixo Studio’s watermark and image-protection product. Review its features and limitations when a right-click restriction alone does not address your needs. The Wix app settings above must not be read as Filigrunner settings.
List the image types and pages you want to cover. Use Filigrunner setup support to clarify the current scope. We do not promise complete screenshot prevention on every device.
Keep the published site usable
After changing protection settings, try the menu, contact form and image enlargement. Check links with a keyboard. On a phone, try scrolling and long presses separately. A desktop result is not evidence of mobile behaviour.
If the restriction does not work
- Open the published address rather than relying on the editor preview.
- Record whether the issue concerns one image, a gallery or a product page.
- If you use several protection apps, check them individually on your own site instead of assuming a conflict.
- Include the page URL, device, browser and expected behaviour when requesting support.
These checks help describe an issue. They do not prove that copying is impossible.
Frequently asked questions
Does disabling right click stop screenshots?
No. Restricting a context menu does not remove the operating system’s screen-capture function.
Do I need a right-click blocker to add a watermark?
No. They are separate measures. Choose watermarking, a saving restriction or both according to your needs.
Where can I find Filigrunner?
Visit the Filigrunner product page for features, setup information and support.

Manage watermark settings with Filigrunner
Explore Filigrunner to manage watermark placement, opacity and coverage for product and site images in one place. Protection controls are deterrents; they cannot completely prevent copying or screenshots.
