What should I do first?
Keep your originals in a secure archive. Publish copies prepared for the web and add a recognizable name or logo to valuable photos. For a larger collection, explore Filigrunner’s watermark and image protection options through Wix App Market.

1. Open Filigrunner in Wix App Market
The Filigrunner button at the top of this page opens the app’s Wix App Market listing directly. The listing may be named Watermark, Right Click Protect; check that its developer is Vebixo Studio. Review the current features and plan coverage before installing.
After adding the app, adjust the logo or text watermark, size, opacity and placement for your photographs. Check the available scope settings for product and other site images. Follow the dashboard preview with a check on the published site; do not assume that every image component behaves identically.
2. Balance watermark placement with readability
A small logo at the extreme edge is easy to crop away. Placing it farther inside the image or using a repeated layout on suitable photographs can make removal harder. A large, dark mark can also make the product difficult to inspect, so judge the result from a shopper’s perspective.
Test light and dark photos, product cards and enlarged images separately. One opacity value will not suit every background. A watermark embedded in an exported file and a layer shown only on the page do not offer identical protection; verify which approach you are using.
3. Treat right-click restrictions as an extra deterrent
Restricting the right-click save action makes one convenient download route harder. Evaluate Filigrunner’s right-click and copying deterrence options for your pages. These controls do not create a firewall that prevents the browser from receiving image data.
Wix also offers manual watermark preparation in Photo Studio and desktop right-click protection in Pro Gallery. Manual preparation may be sufficient for a small collection. Compare an app-based approach when you need to manage placement and scope in one place.
4. Keep high-resolution originals out of public pages
Separate the archive file from the file you publish. Prepare a copy that supports the page’s actual image quality needs. Unnecessarily large files can increase both transfer size and the usefulness of a copied image, while overly small files can hide product details and weaken the shopping experience.
Review download links and any gallery download permissions. Write alternative text that explains the image to visitors who cannot see it; do not fill that field with a copyright warning alone. On mobile, check that the watermark does not obscure the main subject or interactive controls.
5. Test the published experience
- Choose a product card, a product detail page and a regular site image.
- Check watermark position and readability on desktop and phone.
- Enlarge images and verify the mark remains visible with different crop ratios.
- Make sure right-click restrictions do not disrupt other page functions or keyboard use.
- Repeat these checks after adding photos or changing a theme.
Can I completely block screenshots?
No. A website app cannot reliably stop operating-system screenshots or someone photographing the screen with another device. Do not treat Filigrunner or any other tool as a guarantee against copying. A watermark helps deter unauthorized reuse and keeps a visible connection to the owner.
Retain original files, editing history and publication records. If you find a copy elsewhere, record the page address and what is displayed before considering the platform’s reporting process. Technical deterrents do not replace ownership records.
Frequently asked questions
Should the watermark cover the whole photo?
Not necessarily. Make the mark noticeable and difficult to crop away without hiding product details. Compare a single placement with repeated layouts on different photographs.
Should I test product photographs too?
Yes. Check product lists, detail pages, enlarged views and variant photos separately. Confirm the current plan and supported image scope in the listing and dashboard.
Is blocking right-click enough?
No. Visible watermarks, suitable publishing copies and archived originals work together. Right-click restrictions provide an additional deterrent.
